Yes! We regularly play a variety of gigs that we keep up-to-date on the gigs page. Feel free to pop along to any of the public events.
We also practice every Sunday at Breakfast Studios, at the back of Clapham Junction. If you can't make a gig, you are welcome to pop along for a little bit to check us out. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to do this, and we can confirm practice times with you.
Generally a performance consists of either 2 x 1 hour sets, or 3 x 45 mins sets. We're pretty flexible and can work around your requirements if you have something else in mind.
As a guide, an average wedding with ~100 guests near London would cost from £600 upwards (including VAT and plus expenses), although this will vary depending on location, number of guests, special requests etc., which compares incredibly favourably with other bands that charge more than twice as much. This is because we play gigs more for enjoyment and a great time as opposed to a means of income!
The expenses mainly cover the rental of a van to pick up the equipment at the end of the night, but if the venue is a significant distance from London, would need to cover the rental of a van for 24 hours. So we suggest budgeting £150 - £300 for expenses.
We have a standard contract that both parties are required to sign, containing the agreed price and any terms and conditions.
We normally require a 10% deposit upon agreeing a booking.
Sourberry is able to play venues of up to approximately 150 - 200 people, having recently invested in a JBL EON15 PA system, along with 2 x 120W floor monitors, so there's plenty of sound reinforcement.
We can play larger venues and only ask that you provide the necessary additional PA reinforcement. We can work with you to assess the requirements and cost of hiring additional equipment.
Should you require music in between our live sets, we can put together a customised music compilation to go through our PA system.
We can also arrange a live DJ to play sets in between and after our live sets, all pumped through our PA system!
Our PA system is able to take an input from an MP3 player if you want to play a playlist that you've pulled together yourself.
Sourberry are a London-based band and we are happy to travel worlwide. Our more popular areas cover include London, Surrey, Hampshire, Kent, Sussex, Essex, Cambridge and Middlesex.
Please bear in mind accommodation / food / drink requirements if you are considering booking us for a venue that is a significant distance from London - i.e. where it wouldn't really be possible to drive back from after the gig.
We will need at least a full hour before the performance to set up all of our equipment. Ideally, there would also be an additional 15 minutes to sound check all the instruments, microphones and balance the volume levels.
Yes. Sourberry has current PAT certification, and can provide the relevant certificate upon request.
Yes. Sourberry has current Public Liability Insurance through JLT, and can provide the relevant certificates upon request.
In order to put on the best performance, Sourberry asks that refreshments, such as soft drinks and sandwiches, be provided to the band. If you feel that it's appropriate, the provision of alcoholic drinks would be appreciated but not expected!
Please ensure that the band has a sufficient and safe power supply. This should consist of at least 3 x 13 amp sockets, preferably on two different circuits, one for lighting and one for sound equipment. These should be within a reasonable distance from the stage area.
